Oh dear. I'm home today (have to work Friday and Saturday full days, so I had today off to make my hours work) and just got done coloring in a photocopy of my Titania and Oberon box sketch. Problem is....I like this a lot, and I'm worried I won't be able to make the box look as good! LOL

The concept is...she represents earth, and he represents sky (pretty obvious) and the background is a combination of their colors...blue and green. They each wear something indicative of their association with the other as well. For him, it's the leaves on his neckline, for her, it's the black scrollwork on her skirt. Even though I couldn't show it on the box, I plan to have the black around the edge have writing on it...a quote from Midsummer Night's Dream. I'm thinking one of the following:

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding, but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend;
If you pardon, we will mend.

or

Now the other problem....I may like this box so much I have a hard time giving it up........

I don't get Showtime, but a coworker does, and every 4 episodes, she burns a new disc of Tudors for me to watch. Right now I'm about 2 weeks behind the current episode, and the one I just finished watching had the most GORGEOUS gown worn by Anne Boleyn in the opening dream sequence. I had to do screencaps.

This show is such eyecandy, it feels like sin :D

I'm going to be away this Saturday - Sunday at a local con in Columbus called Marcon. My dear friend Cassandra / Sistersola is going to be there from Vancouver, so I couldn't miss it :) Anyway...

Help me pick what to wear!

The only "definite" is my Frog Princess outfit (carrying around frog) on Saturday, since I have my only panel I'm a panelist for at 2:30 (on fairy tales in movies)

Other possibilities....

My friend Lee is wearing his Garibaldi costume Saturday, so I might try to figure out a way to wear a Lyta Alexander costume during the first part of the day and then change into the above.

Then on Sunday, I have some choices....

A friend passed on this link to me this morning...apparently Ann Arbor Michigan has an artist who makes Faerie doors...and most of them aren't just a little door you slap onto a wall, but an installation where he puts in windows to view small rooms and such. It was quite charming to look around the website, but also slightly heartbreaking to see the horrible things that people do to the doors that are out in public places.

This one broke my heart the most:
